CLASSES
AT
OUR BEAUTIFUL DANCE STUDIO,
"The Palace" is located
UNIT 7, 12 KELLY COURT,
MAROOCHYDORE/BUDERIM (off Wise’s Rd, into Kayleigh Drive, then into Kelly
Court. Down at the end of the cul de sac.)
OUR TEACHERS
Currently, Daphné and
Kiley are teaching all the classes at The Palace. Kiley also is a fabulous
dancer and teacher with many years experience. Occasionally we will engage
guest teachers, or utilise the talents of our experienced dancers. Daphné and
Kiley attend numerous workshops with leading Australian and international
teachers and choreographers, so they can share their knowledge with you.
CLASS COSTS At
The Palace --
Your first class each
week costs $12; $10 if registered. Subsequent classes in the same week cost $7;
$5 if registered. Registration: Annual registration fee is $20 for new students;
$15 for renewing students. Then you will get discounted classes e.g. $10,
discounts on music, workshops we run, and discounts or deals from some
participating businesses. Why registration? Because we are a registered and
licensed business and dance school – and subject to audit of student numbers,
use of copyright music etc.
WHAT TO WEAR
Loose comfortable clothing. Maybe long pants – dance/yoga, or other loose type,
so you can bend and move. Skirt is OK. For beginners we like to see how your
legs and knees are working. T-shirt or crop top. Most dancers dance
barefoot. If you prefer something on your feet, a soft ballet slipper, jazz
dance shoe, or jiffy shoe is fine.
TIMETABLE TERM
1 2010
Term 1 commences Tuesday 2
February 2010 – Term finishes Wednesday 31 March
2010.
PLEASE NOTE: At this stage, our plan is that Monday Tribal class,
and Tuesday 11 am class will start later in the term. We will keep
you posted in
regard to these classes, and if you can, do come along to one of our evening
classes in the meantime.
Monday
6 pm – 7.15 pm TRIBAL (authentic ATS - American Tribal Style) Will
Resume Later in Term
Tribal is a beautiful,
strong, mesmerising, improvisational dance style. Style is based on Egyptian
belly Dance, with flamenco style arms and posture. Stunning costumes.
Taught by Daphné. Beginners welcome.
Tuesday 11 am – 12 noon BEGINNERS/GENERAL Will
Resume Later in Term
If daytime activities
suit your schedule, then this is the class to do. A great class that caters
for all dancers, right from beginners; learn technique & choreographies. A
relaxed and fun class.
Tuesday 6 pm – 7 pm BEGINNERS
An evening class
designed for beginners and early stage dancers. A relaxed and fun class,
where you will learn technique & simple choreographies.
Wednesday 6 pm – 7 pm BEGINNERS
An evening class
designed for beginners and early stage dancers. A relaxed and fun class,
where you will learn technique & simple choreographies.
Wednesday 7 pm – 8 pm
GENERAL / ADVANCED CLASS
to work on more challenging moves and
choreographies. The session progressively moves from basics
through to more advanced technique. And still having lots of fun!!
WE DO PRIVATE CLASSES
FOR 1 OR MORE PEOPLE.
IF YOU WANT TO DO
CLASSES BUT CAN’T GET TO OUR DANCE STUDIO, WE CAN ARRANGE A REGULAR CLASS
FOR A GROUP OF PEOPLE AT OTHER VENUES, e.g. YOUR HOME OR OTHER SUITABLE
PLACE.
